Session is the board of active elders elected by the congregation to respond to Christ’s leadership in directing and serving the church. In so doing, Session has responsibilities deep and wide in regards leadership, administration and management. The Minister serves as a voting member and moderator of Session. There are currently six active elders who serve staggered three-year terms. Session meets at least monthly to conduct the business of the church.
Deacons
Deacons lead and carry out prayer and care efforts both within and from the church. We currently have six Deacons who make hospital and home visits, assist the Minister in serving home communion and work with our prayer team to pray for those with special needs. It is said that the Deacon’s heart beats for Christ and that is most evident at this church. As the saying goes, “Your Deacon is who you call when you fall.”
