One Great Hour of Sharing offering received during Lent
This annual opportunity for giving is divided among three Presbyterian programs:
• Presbyterian Hunger Program
supports ministries working to alleviate hunger and
eliminate its causes.
It also supports programs addressing homelessness and
affordable housing.
• Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
is for disaster response and ministries with refugees.
• Self-Development of People
partnerships with groups of people, oppressed by poverty or
social systems,
who have organized to do something about their condition
and have decided what they need to do to produce long-term
benefits for themselves.
Only 10% of the One Great Hour of Sharing offering goes
toward administrative costs.
That means 90% of your donations are going to the people who
need it.
Please join with millions of Presbyterians from around the
world this Lenten/Easter season
and support this far reaching and worthwhile cause.
Please use the envelope provided in your regular boxed set
of offering envelopes, or a pew envelope marked OGHS.
You may also mail a check made out to the church with OGHS
in the memo line.
The offering is received any time during Lent or on Easter
Sunday.
